We are hiring!

Working at Lembas is a little different to being an employee at another business as we all collectively own and run the business.

The current membership draws from a wide range of backgrounds, personalities and work history and we are stronger for it!

Co-op Member - Production/Warehousing

The Job

Lembas is looking for a new staff member to work primarily in our Production/Bagging department, but who will also be spending some time in our warehouse.

Whilst we are advertising for someone who can begin immediately in our Production/Bagging department, we are also looking for a more rounded skill set.
You should

  • Have an interest in our product range
  • Have a good level of numeracy, literacy and ICT
  • Be moderately physically fit (lifting up to 25Kgs)
  • Have good communication skills and a pleasant manner (you will be working in public facing roles)
  • Be in it for the long term (we have a very low staff turnover!)

The Production/Warehousing position is probationary for one year. Successful completion of the probationary period will lead to full co-op membership. As a co-op member you will be given opportunities to take on different jobs – including office administration and customer facing roles – and so contribute more widely to running this successful business. You will also be expected to contribute to the ongoing development of the business and be prepared to attend regular monthly meetings.

Hours: 32 hrs per week Mon - Thurs (normally 07:30 – 16:30)

Wages: £12.21/hour for the first 6 months, rising to £12.60. Then upon full membership inclusion into our profit sharing scheme.

We also offer a generous holiday allowance, a health cash payment plan (Healthshield), and of course staff discount on all our goods.
